To make sure we all mean the same thing by the same terms, we hope we can agree on the following list :). Between brackets are the dutch terms.
- homepage, hyves homepage
- personal overview (persoonlijke homepage)
http://claude.hyves.nl/profile:
- personal profile, profilepage (persoonlijke profiel, profielpagina)
http://happysingles.hyves.nl/:
- public hyve (publieke hyve)
- private hyve (prive hyve)
- groups homepage (groepen homepage)
- city tab
Desktop application
- an application that is a consumer (in the oauth sense of the word; which means it makes direct calls to our API), and runs on the computer of the user (has another way that the user can get its own copy). This includes Windows/Mac/Linux applications, AJAX applications and flash applications.
In addition terms from the oauth specification will be used throughout the documentation.
Up until now, we have not always been very consistent in the terminology, we hope to correct that now. Perhaps, some part of the documentation still contains the wrong terms, in that case, please let us know.
